The Community Table is a 501(c)3 non-profit. We are the only soup kitchen in the Chippewa Valley that is open every day of the year. The Community Table serves 100 - 150 meals per day. Volunteer teams of 3-6 individuals prepare, cook, serve and clean up every meal.
Position Available: On-site Kitchen Supervisor
Specific Duties:
The Kitchen Supervisor supports and manages volunteers that prepare, cook, serve and cleanup the meals. The Kitchen Supervisor opens the facility for volunteers and the patrons we serve. The Supervisor communicates with the Kitchen Manager who prepares the daily menu and recipes. The Supervisor coordinates with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that all the ingredients are laid out for the daily meal. The Supervisor ensures The Community Table's commercial kitchen, dining room and facilities are ready for use. The Supervisor manages the kitchen and dining room to ensure that meal service begins, runs and ends smoothly. The Supervisor supervises community service volunteers and communicates issues with his/her direct supervisor for collaborative resolution. The Supervisor ensures that all who enter The Community Table are treated with dignity and respect.
