JOB TITLE: Press Brake Operator – Production Worker
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Fabrication
REPORTS TO: Shop Foreman
SCHEDULE: Day Shift: Mon – Thurs, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
(Overtime is scheduled on Friday morning-when needed 6:00-12:00)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation
of a hydraulic CNC controlled press brake. This is a cross functional position within the
Fabrication Shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Set up and operate a hydraulic press or punch for routine established work.
2. Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents
3. Load, install and correctly set up the tools required
4. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
5. Account for time and work completed via per company policy.
6. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
7. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing
issues or seek assistance.
8. Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
9. Maintain performance logbooks on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies
to the maintenance team.
10. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background.
2. Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired.
3. Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch
operations including basic set up is desired.
4. Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of
precision measurement tools.
5. Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
6. Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
7. Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
8. Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.
9. Ability to operate a forklift.
10. Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
11. Good verbal and written communication skills.
12. Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 60 lbs frequently.
2. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward
frequently.
3. Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
4. Ability to work in a shop work environment.
5. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision
protection and other appropriate protective clothing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
