JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: HR Assistant
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The HR Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the HR Director and other executives as needed.
Description:
- Process, audit, and review company payroll for W2 employees and 1099 contractor’s payroll.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and demonstrate how to use company software.
- Assist in new hire onboarding process by creating new email, computer, and HRIS accounts.
- Process and file new hire paperwork such as Application for employment, I9’s, W2’s, & Employment
Agreements.
- Assist with Pilot Hiring and screening.
- Assist with background checks, DOT Request, PRIA documentations, and organizing pilot records.
- Assists HR Director with recruitment for Medical and Sales Departments.
- Conduct background and drug screening on all potential candidates.
- Photograph and issue company badges
- Performs and/or coordinates a variety of advanced administrative duties including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation, proofreading, filing, and other office administrative functions.
- Coordinates meeting and travel arrangements, and resolves conflicting schedule demands for HR Director and other management as needed.
- Screens, directs and responds to incoming calls and inquiries.
- Update the company intranet and Welcome page as needed.
- Manages conference and break room facilities. Including stocking and coordinating cleaning and trash removal with building maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of administrative support experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Treat sensitive or confidential information with appropriate discretion.
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, or comparable HRIS Software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, self-directed, results-oriented and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Applicants must be able to prove U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
- Applicants must be able to travel freely and without restrictions inside/outside the United States.
