Job Overview:
Our Wedding and Event Planning Company is growing, and we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wedding Assistant. You will work closely with our lead wedding planners, couples, and vendors to ensure that all aspects of the wedding day are executed seamlessly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
On-Site Coordination:
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors, guests, and the wedding party on the day of the event.
- Coordinate the setup and breakdown of ceremony and reception spaces, including décor placement and layout.
- Ensure that the timeline is adhered to and that all elements of the event occur according to plan.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during the event promptly and professionally.
Guest Assistance:
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide assistance as needed throughout the event.
- Manage guest seating and ensure that all guests are comfortable and accommodated.
- Assist with guest transportation, parking, and other logistics as necessary.
Post-Wedding Duties:
- Assist with the cleanup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring that all items are returned to their proper locations.
- Coordinate the return of rental items and the disposal of any waste or debris.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure that all invoices are paid and that any outstanding issues are resolved.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field preferred but not necessary, enthusiasm and a passion for customer service wins.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of wedding trends, traditions, and etiquette preferred.
- Reliable transportation to travel to event locations.
