Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Receives work orders.
· Reads the computerized and supplemental copies of the work order.
· Set up and adjusts screens to proper printing order and registration, according to design instruction sheet.
· Records set up time on work report.
· Prints first print for design approval. Has art been approved by the QC, supervisor, or artist before beginning the production run?
· Print the production run using the quickest printing techniques possible while maintaining high quality standards.
· Take down the screens when the production run has been completed. Record the screen takedown time on the daily work report.
· Record any problems with the production run on the daily work report along with the down time needed to resolve the problem.
· Work as a team with the production personnel.
· Burn Screens as needed.
· Clean screens, as needed.
· Reclaim screens, as needed
· Daily clean the work area during the last fifteen minutes of the day.
· Other responsibilities, as assigned.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
· Maintain a printer rating of 85% or higher.
· Maintain a daily production of 1,200 to 2,400 impressions per 8-hour shift.
· Maintain a misprint rating of 1% or less.
Job Specifications
· Miscellaneous hand tools and equipment. General operation of hand and automatic textile printing equipment, reclaiming equipment, screen-stretching equipment, and screen burning equipment.
· Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and standing.
· Walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking and hearing.
· Medium work occasionally exerts up to 50-75 lbs. of force. Repetition of twisting and turning motions as required to load and/or unload garments from printing presses. Able to stand for up to four hours continuously without a break.
· Have the ability to solve practical production problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret various instructions on written work orders and oral instructions.
· Regular attendance is very important. This employee understands this and is required to abide by the Corporate and Business Unit guidelines of attendance.
· A 40-hour workweek is required. The attitude of doing what it takes to get the job done is required in this position. A normal workweek is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays on occasion.
