Applicants must have an active LCSW license from the State of Arkansas.
The open hours for this position area combination of:
Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and/or
Monday-Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm.
We have structured classes in the afternoon until 6:30pm that the LCSW will be required to sit in and "monitor" along with the participating Veterans.

St. Francis is a transitional housing program for homeless Veterans while they work towards permanent housing.

Job Summary: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing comprehensive mental health services to Veterans living at St. Francis House. Your role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients with various mental health issues, utilizing your clinical expertise and therapeutic skills.
Our LCSW's plays a crucial role in supporting the emotional well-being of the Veterans, promoting resilience, and facilitating positive behavioral changes, while helping them transition to their new lives and permanent housing.
The pace of workflow, scheduling meetings with, and interacting with the Veterans can be fast paced at times and require some level of multi-tasking.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to understand their mental health needs, history, and current challenges.
- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Utilize diagnostic tools to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Individual and Group Therapy: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals and facilitate group therapy sessions, addressing diverse mental health concerns.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations effectively, providing immediate support and coordinating appropriate interventions.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Work collaboratively with the VA Day Treatment Center, psychologists, medical professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure their comprehensive care needs are being met.
- Advocacy: Advocate for Veterans rights and collaborate with other external agencies, community resources, and support networks to enhance Veterans overall well-being.
- Case Management: Develop and implement case management plans, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow-up services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest professional standards.
- Client Education: Provide psychoeducation, promoting understanding of mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in working with diverse populations, respecting individual differences and tailoring interventions accordingly.
Requirements:
- Current and valid Arkansas licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Clinical experience, with a focus on psychotherapy and counseling.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Continuing education to stay abreast of current trends and best practices in the field.
