The Financial Manager is a critical member of the ministry staff at CUCC. This position manages the church finances offers administrative support to the pastor(s), staff, and various leaders of the church who seek to live out our core values of Worship, Welcome, and Justice.
Essential Functions
- Maintain Accounts Payable, including reconciliations
- Maintain Pledge and Contributions records, including, but not limited to: Preparation of quarterly and end of year statements, respond to member giving questions, stock gifts, special campaigns
- Enter all income and expense data into the computer and do bank reconciliations
- Prepare all checks for the Church Treasurer to sign
- Administer Payroll including regular tax payments and tax filings
- Prepare payroll, semi-monthly and monthly
- Prepare W-2's, 1099's, 941's, IL-W3's, and all Financial Forms monthly, quarterly and for Year End
- Maintain Personnel files including pension support
- Maintain Insurance records including: Claims filed, special requests
- Prepare financial statements and related reports to support monthly and annual financial results, fundraising efforts, and periodic meetings
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the Senior Pastor, Council Chairperson, or Council Treasurer
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience performing all key tasks related to accounts payable, cash application, payroll, and financial reporting
- College degree in accounting / finance / business related field or commensurate experience
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and web-based email services
- Demonstrated attention to detail, including excellent written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate in a team setting

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
