Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for overseeing one or more social media accounts for the company. Their duties include responding to customer issues on all social platforms, creating social and video content and updating social media posting schedules, replying to comments from subscribers or liking tagged photos and coordinating with other professionals to determine how to market a brand and its products or services using social media.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support development of social content calendars and handle daily publishing across a suite of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, Linkedin, Reddit, YouTube, Pinterest) using scheduling programs such as Later.com
- Create and manage social calendar across all social media platforms.
- Assist with community management across social channels - actively engage and respond to followers and brainstorm ways to increase social conversation and increase engagement
- Conduct competitive research assignments
- Create and maintain a monthly report of KPIs and share actionable suggestions based on report insights, including orders volume, audience growth and engagement
- Create engaging posts & content strategies to better engage with a growing audience (videos, text, images)
- Work collaboratively with marketing team to plan social activation and match timelines
- Execute paid social media campaigns and initiatives that support customer growth and ultimately increase conversion volume
- Work with talent, departments, customers to better bring insider knowledge to social audience
- Ability to develop and implement a corporate social media strategy
- Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the company’s online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rule
- Identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement
- Respond to customers on review platforms. (Google, Reseller Ratings, Trustpilot, BBB)
- Follow up on customer issues on social platforms with the given internal admin tools as well as keeping notes on issues reported to ensure best possible service is provided
Knowledge and Skills
- Create and manage email marketing calendar that attracts qualified audience to our owned properties
- Experience as a social media specialist or similar position
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including GMB, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit
- Social media marketing tools: Canva, Later.com
- Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics and overall goal of SEO
- Experience with buyer persona and audience research
- Familiarity with publishing and web design
- Utilize marketing automation campaigns to improve user engagement and increase conversions
- Establish a detailed database management process for list cleansing and increased inbox delivery and ISP whitelisting for large list sizes
- Run weekly reports using KPI's and measurable metrics
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
- Create segmentation strategies, A/B testing of subject lines, content, images and offers to drive higher open and click-through rates
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing valid information
- Interpersonal skills when dealing with others
- Comprehensive understanding of excel and research methods
- Taking direction and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Implement and process a workflow for projects assigned
- Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and obtain information from all relevant sources

Experience
- Degree in related field
- 1-3 years experience in Social Media Marketing
- Social Ads experience
- 1-3 years experience in Video Content Creation and Editing.
- Printing, Graphic Design and Website Design Experience
- Customer Service Experience
