The Training Manager’s primary purpose is to oversee, create, and conduct the training of all team members at the Perishable Distribution Center. This position will report to the Director of Distribution, supporting on-the-job training of new team members and ongoing training for existing team members. The Training Manager will also have oversight of the Distribution Center’s E-Learning compliance program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Describe, in order of importance, the primary duties and/or responsibilities to be performed, methods used, and why. Statement should include WHAT, HOW, and WHY) • Manage the training and re-training of team members, including the assessment of employee training needs. • Provide timely feedback, coaching, and recommended training to new team members. • Re-train and follow-up on team member needs based on observations and performance metrics. • Evaluate effectiveness of training and make recommendations to improve existing training systems, tools, and measures to ensure that the company is up-to-date and compliant with all government regulations, safety rules, regulations, and progressive training techniques. • Work with all levels of management in the Warehouse and Transportation departments to ensure that they are fully versed in company expectations. • Communicate training needs, training dates, results, and any issued coaching/counseling to Warehouse and Transportation Leadership and HR. • Utilize training and communication as a tool to ensure operational practices are consistent in the Distribution Center. • Ensure food safety and workplace safety initiatives are known, practiced, and adhered to by all. • Perform any other job duties as assigned by the distribution management team QUALIFICATIONS (List skills or special attributes needed to perform the job) Experience (Minimum Needed): • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner. • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements of the job, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job. • Must be able to complete work in an organized and efficient manner, with a customer-orientated mindset. • Must have strong leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills. • Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
