Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Responsible for organizing, directing and evaluating all operational aspects of the hospice afterhours program and ensuring continuity of care when care centers are closed.
- Serves as the afterhours operational leader collaborating with AVP of clinical, AVP of operations and AVP of business development.
- Partners with the HSPC asst VP of afterhours clinical and quality to adjust operations and staffing to address needs in quality improvement.
- Monitors performance metrics of vendors contracted to support afterhours.
- Directs, oversees, provides support, direction and feedback to staff during the clinical and compliance processes.
- Communicates with corporate compliance regarding any reportable findings or issues identified in a care center that would potentially put a patient or the company at risk.
- Oversees the investigation and resolution of complaints.
- Uses knowledge, experience and other resources as necessary to make logical decisions and solve problems after accurately analyzing and researching facts.
- Implements budget, accounting system and fiscal controls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse specific to the state you are assigned to work.
- Five years’ clinical experience; at least three years in a management/supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in personnel management, leadership, and fiscal management.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Hospice experience
- Experience leading a large call center team strongly preferred
