Responsibilities:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable stays for our guests. Your responsibilities include:
- Greeting and checking in guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Answering phones and assisting with reservations.
- Attending to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies with the utmost care.
- Investigating and resolving any out-of-balance accounts.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Collaborating in the preparation for forecasts and audits.
- Posting room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
- Transferring charges and deposits to master accounts.
- Ensuring all transactions at the front desk are supported by necessary documentation and signatures.
- Verifying that all charges are correctly assigned to the appropriate department.
- Tracking room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
- Preparing a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in customer service in the hospitality or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in effectively handling both internal and external customers, including those requiring high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to use a calculator for moderately complex calculations without error.
- Competency in accessing and accurately inputting information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Ability to stand, walk, and continuously perform behind the front desk.
- Capacity to observe and identify signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of complex reports on room availability and revenue.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- The ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, ensuring effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
