Fully Remote Tax Preparer
Seeking a tax accountant with public firm experience who enjoys preparing tax returns and prefers being busy all year without having to work excess hours during tax season. Our tax preparers typically work no more than 40-50 hours per week during tax season, and then 40 hours per week the rest of the year. All preparers are paid overtime when the work week exceeds 40 hours during the peak busy season.
About the Firm
HDA Accounting Group is a niche public accounting firm that works exclusively with dental practice owners nationwide. We are high-tech with the latest software, and we have enjoyed sustained growth spanning over a decade as a result of providing world-class customer service to our dentists.
Our firm transitioned to a fully remote workforce in March of 2020. While the company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, we have employees in several states who work from their home office full-time using company-provided equipment. This arrangement has allowed our team to hire the most talented and most qualified accountants and administrative professionals regardless of where they live.
About the Job
Our tax preparers are responsible for preparing business and personal tax returns for clients. This includes maintaining accurate work papers, communicating with clients during the tax preparation and planning processes, and reviewing your work to ensure complete accuracy. In addition, our preparers also produce quarterly tax planning analyses to ensure we are as proactive as possible in helping our clients manage their tax liability. The work is fast-paced, but schedule is normal business hours most of the year, and never exceeds 45-50 hours even in the busy season.
The service our team provides to our clientele is comprehensive, and the work we do matters. Each doctor relies on the guidance and planning our team provides, and our team has a direct impact on the success of our clients. This results in a professional relationship that is rewarding and satisfying.
Our accountants also become experts in our field of dental practice accounting, and we get to know our clients. We know their business well because our tax work is only provided when our firm also prepares the monthly accounting. This arrangement makes it so that our team also does not have to sift through incomplete business records for clients that do not have their financial statements professionally prepared.
