We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for the restaurant industry and a strong desire to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly smile upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Provide accurate wait times and manage reservations
- Assist in seating guests efficiently to maximize table turnover
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the appropriate staff members
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Aloha POS
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Team player mentality with the willingness to help out wherever needed
- Knowledge of hotel guest services is a plus
