Comfort Inn & Suites Las Vegas Nellis is looking for an energetic numbers and guest-oriented relief night auditor that can do two 10PM - 6AM shifts and three 2PM - 10PM Shifts. This is a full-time position!
You must have at least 1 year of prior hotel experience along with a passion for hospitality, a willingness to learn, and an interest in hotel accounting and data. We are a teamwork-oriented property and encourage all areas to cross-train and support one another.
Why this role is for you
In addition to providing great guest service, the hotel night auditor ensures the accounting is correct for the daily activity at the hotel. You ensure that all payments are properly received and processed at the end of the night while also attending to our last minute guests.
II. ORGANIZATION
Reports directly to the hotel operations manager.
III. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms, and all food and beverage outlets’ cash and credit operations and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management.
- Run the night audit final, after ensuring all revenue is in balance.
- Checks guests into and out of the hotel in an accurate, speedy, and courteous manner.
- Ensure all aspects of hotel accounting for all areas of hotel operations are processed correctly and accurately recorded, protecting the brand and hotel against liability and fraud.
- Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
- Prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
- Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required.
- Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
- Offers guests assistance whenever possible.
- Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
- Ensures that the lobby and front desk area is clean, organized, visually appealing, and well stocked with all necessary supplies.
- Properly compiles, completes, and distributes reports to all management and relevant staff.
- Reports any maintenance, security, or safety issues to the appropriate staff.
IV. SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous front desk experience highly preferred.
- Prior experience using Windows based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work well and collaborate with others.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- May be required to stand for an extended period of time.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
