Cornerstone Treatment Facilities Network is a substance abuse treatment facility seeking a full-time Human Resource Assistant to work in the Human Resource department located in Fresh Meadows, Queens. The ideal candidate must be flexible to changes within the company, pay close attention to details, professional demeanor, ability to communicate with staff, and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Four years of Human Resource Experience in a medical setting preferred
- Associate degree, in lieu of Associate degree, must have an HS Diploma and 6 years of Human Resource experience
- Must have experience inputting, editing, and updating HR information into HRIS
- Knowledge of FMLA, I-9, and WC
- Must type a minimum of 55 wpm
- Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft applications
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Proficient working knowledge of automated HR processes with the ability to generate personnel/recruitment actions
- Operational knowledge and skill in human resource administrative practices and systems, such as records management, schedule/time management, payroll, etc.
- Advanced computer knowledge with skilled proficiency using Paypro/ADP, & Microsoft Office programs ( i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of federal employee benefits ( i.e., insurance, leave, retirement, worker's compensation, overtime pay, etc.)
- Excellent organization skills with adept ability to set and manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to apply good listening skills and to handle unusual or complex situations with a calm and focused approach
- Ability to adapt to change and to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and accept accountability for assigned work functions
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and coworkers, as well as external contacts
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to identify problems, conduct research, and use sound judgment
