POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE
The Clinical Director will need to be an experienced, communicative, and compassionate leader who will support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. Additionally, you will support, supervise, and manage the clinical team, while providing ethical expertise and judgment in a clinical setting in areas of treatment, documentation, and company practices. This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are duties and responsibilities that the Clinical Director shall provide:
- Supervises a team of clinicians, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and coaching
- Oversees clinical operations and program establishment (in conjunction with the Governing Board), including accurate and timely documentation, assigning caseloads, coordinating the delivery of patient care services, weekly supervision, planning for admissions and discharges, and census auditing to ensure accuracy
- Develops and implements quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care, track KPIs, and monitor outcomes
- Gains accurate discharge dates for each client by the end of the first week of admission, ensuring discharge plans are coordinated with each clinician a week prior to discharge
- Minimum of weekly reviews of each clinicians’ general notes and progress notes to ensure compliance and integrity
- Covering caseloads, process groups and individual sessions when a clinician calls out or is on vacation, and remaining on-call for emergencies
- Facilitates staff meetings to share program goals, updates, and address any concerns
- Participates in crisis and intervention techniques, when needed
- Follows and enforces all agency policies, procedures, and program standards
- Maintains compliance with company accreditation standards, including annual trainings, CEUs, and performance reviews
- Learns and utilizes the software’s available (Ritten, Paycom, etc.) efficiently to complete job requirements
EDUCATIONAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The Clinical Director requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant field, along with one or combination of the following credentials:
- Credentials: LCDC III
- Minimum of 2 years in a clinical leadership role, with 2 years addiction experience (preferred)
- Direct experience in a therapeutic work setting
- License or certification in good standing
- CARF accreditation standards experience
- Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethics
- Must be knowledgeable of the following: Family of Origin issues, Alcohol/Drug Use issues, and any other areas pertinent to the counseling position applying for
- Must be open-minded, flexible, and willing to take direction
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
- Valid CPR/First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Successfully pass a background and drug screen
