Discovery of damages
Reports to: Facility Manager/owner
Job status: Salary plus incentives
Work Hours: 8:00 AM –5:00 PM Monday through Friday
Position Summary: It is the job of the Discovery/Blue printer to understand and embrace the Mission of the company and the vision of its leadership; to practice precision and integrity in the assessment of collision damage; to interact effectively with CSR’s, technicians, parts personnel, and team leaders in order to simplify and expedite the repair process; to adopt, observe, and seek to steadily improve all company business policies; to function as a member of the company team, with respect and consideration for every colleague and customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
· THINK, and contribute constructive ideas at every opportunity.
· Learn how to write detailed Blueprints of collision repair procedures.
· Share critical information with CSR’s and technicians to facilitate negotiations and repairs.
· Assist with insurance companies' negotiations
· Assist Facility Manager with loading shop to maximize efficiency.
· Assist Sales Manager with scheduling of repairs by notifying him/her of peaks and valleys in volume.
· Follow all SOP’s for Discovery/blue printing
· All files are complete before moving
· All OEM procedures and followed and documented to file.
· Meet all goals and expectations of the Dept. KPI's
· Maintain tasks are done within time frames to better cycle time.
Secondary Responsibilities:
· Assist Facility Team leader with setting repair priorities.
· Attend and contribute to company business meetings and planning sessions.
· Assist CSR’s with estimating/supplements as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent GED (Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred).
· Minimum 2 Years of Damage Estimating experience.
Core Competencies:
· Self-starter, team player.
· Able to perform a variety of tasks at once.
· Able to work accurately and rapidly with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent organizational skills.

We are looking for individuals who are able to work well in a team environment and take direction, while also being willing to provide input.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update estimates.
- Record estimates in the computer system.
- Meet with clients to discuss estimate requests and pricing.
- Oversee quality of work performed by an organization of body shop technicians.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
