OUI’s Lewiston Children’s program is growing! We are looking for energetic, compassionate, team-players, who want to make a difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families. The position helps children to work on their individual goals of integration within their home and community with minimal maladaptive behaviors. You assist children with self-regulating, communicating needs & wants, socializing with peers and community members, problem solving, taking turns, staying on task, daily living skills,
We currently have openings full and part time for Intervention Specialists, Intervention Technicians, and Intervention Professionals to work with children ages 3 -21.
Weekends and after school.
Responsibilities:
- Make therapy fun!
- Respect participants’ rights and dignity.
- Show up for scheduled sessions.
- Implement interventions according to the plans.
- Maintain accurate data collection and session notes.
- Submit data and billing in a timely manner.
- Communicate with team members about participants’ progress and needs.
- Communicate with supervisor about needed training, materials, resources, or support.
- Attend and participate in mandatory team meetings and trainings
- Maintain professional boundaries with participants and families
- Maintain positive relationships and regular communication with other service providers, family members/advocates, school districts and community members.
Starting pay Depends on qualifications, See below:
Intervention Technician $18.00
- No experience necessary
- Is actively within 24 credits of a Human Service Degree (if degree is not in Human services, then needs to show 24 credits in human service courses, need transcript)
- Has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services (if degree is not in Human services, then needs to show 24 credits in human service courses, need transcript)
Intervention Specialist: $20.00
- 1,040 hrs of experience
- Has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services (if degree is not in Human services, then needs to show 24 credits in human service courses, need transcript)
Intervention Professional: $32.00
- 1500 hrs of experience
- Has a Masters Degree in Human Services (if degree is not in Human services, then needs to show 24 credits in human service courses, need transcript)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
