Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and plate menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
Skills:
- Cooking skills
- Food handling knowledge
- Experience in a restaurant or dietary department preferred but will train the right person
- Proficiency in kitchen operations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with food safety standards
