Job Title: Customer Service Ticketing and Reservations
Summary: Sell tickets and provide excellent customer service to the public.
Season: May-end of August
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers and/or potential customers.
- Sell tickets, balance out cash register, prepare a daily summary after each boat departure.
- Take reservations as required.
- Prepare freight invoices.
- Answer phones in professional manner and assist with general questions.
- Email reservation confirmations to customers.
- Communicate promptly with Dock Manager and/or Captain with freight and vehicle concerns.
- Be familiar with the company radios and use correct procedures when communicating with the shuttle bus and BIBCO vessels.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies, forms, brochures, and make copies as required.
- Maintain a clean work area (inside and outside).
- Maintain positive relations and work efficiently though good communication with all Beaver Island Boat Company Staff.
- Follow all company personnel, customer, and pricing policies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned (i.e. valet cars, ect.)

Training/Education and/or Experience:
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use good judgement.
- Comfortable and personal in dealing with a diverse group of people. Ability to maintain positive relations and attitude while working effectively with the public. Excellent communication skills.
- Service oriented personality that creates a sense of comfort and confidence.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of freight.
- Comfortable with basic math and accounting procedures (i.e. making change, balancing cash register, computing balances due, ect.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing.
- Knowledge of Beaver Island, local attractions, company rates, polices and schedule.
