Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for content development of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum exhibits, as well as for the oversight of the marketing design and graphic design of exhibits. The individual assists with the creation of new exhibits and the maintenance of permanent exhibit galleries and is also responsible for the management of the Seminole Traveling Exhibits Program (STEP), in collaboration with the Exhibits Specialist.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in History, Anthropology or Museum-related studies is required. Minimum of three (3) years of museum experience in exhibit preparation and design or related field is preferred. Prior experience managing a traveling exhibits program is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe and PastPerfect. Graphic design skills are preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
