Job Title: HR Assistant
Reports to: HR Director
Position Information: The HR assistant works under the direction of the HR Director at Lakeside Organic Gardens. This position is responsible for assisting HR by attending the front desk, answering phones, new hire orientations and management of new hire and terminated employee files, managing the health insurance for all companies, 401k, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
· Greet employees
· Issue equipment to employees
· Maintain and order equipment.
· Replenish all forms kept on counter.
· Answer multi line phone.
· New hire orientations and new hire forms such as I-9, W-4, Insurance forms, etc.
· Responding to general inquiries both over the phone or email, internally or externally.
· Assist HR/Safety department.
· Creating and updating employee files.
· Directing visitors to appropriate person
· Health insurance management.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must be computer literate
· Excellent organization and communication skills
· Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
· Must be a fast learner
· Demonstrated ability to operate basic office machines and the Company's system.
· Reliable and punctual
· Team oriented
· Multi task
· Must be able to speak in front of large groups of people.
· Bilingual and bi-literate required
Education & Experience:
· High school or GED preferred
· Previous experience in an office setting preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to speak in front of large groups.
· Must be able to operate a computer keyboard.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
