The Director of Security plays a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security programs tailored to the unique needs of our school district. This position requires strong leadership, extensive experience in security management and law enforcement, and a thorough understanding of school district safety measures, technologies, best practices and crisis management.

Extensive experience with law enforcement agencies.

Deep knowledge of security policies, procedures, and crisis management relevant to school districts.

Strong background in security technology systems’ design and operations.

Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Must be firearms certified or able to receive certification as required by the Oxford Police Department.

Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Physically fit to fulfill job responsibilities.

Act as the district’s primary liaison with the Oxford Police Department and other agencies.

Oversee the security department's budget, district staff (ASOs), and operations, including technology security systems and safety plans.

Develop and maintain district-wide safety programs, emergency plans, and training for staff.

Ensure effective coordination with law enforcement and emergency agencies for a proactive security posture.

Directly supervise Armed Security Officers (ASOs) and collaborate with the Oxford Police Department with assigned School Resource Officers (SROs)

Serve as the primary backup at our schools if an ASO is absent

Be an active security presence in the schools and throughout the district

Maintain high ethical and professional standards in all interactions and communications.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 Based on Experience
