We are seeking a Biomedical Engineer II. This position will require working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to support preclinical research data analysis.

Contribute to the development of workflows for data collection, processing and visualization of biological signals

Designing, prototyping, and building electromechanical equipment for experiments involving assessment of motor functionality and neurophysiology

Develop and validate algorithms including building statistical models or classifiers using machine learning techniques
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support preclinical research and contribute to experimental planning

BS in Biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, data science or related technical field

One to three years of experience working in an industry research and development setting (or MS degree) in relevant fields

Strong proficiency with Python or other equivalent programming languages, particularly as they relate to writing software for controlling the suite of instruments as part of the various neuroscience experimental paradigm, including basic microcontroller programming for embedded sensors

Expertise with statistical analysis, data analysis and visualization, and machine learning techniques for predictive models or classifiers
- Proficiency with version control software and cloud environment development (gcloud or AWS)

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Experience working with implantable medical devices and neurophysiological data

Good understanding of human anatomy and physiology

Good organizational and time-management abilities
