*Job Description: Warehouse Associate*
*Position Overview:*
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse facility. Your responsibilities will span a range of tasks aimed at ensuring efficient logistics, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. From loading and unloading trucks to maintaining inventory accuracy, you will be integral to our team's success.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Load and unload various trucks, containers, trailers, etc., ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Prepare orders, including full rolls and cuts, utilizing cutting machines as needed.
- Maintain well-stocked sample shelves and reserves to meet customer needs.
- Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Rotate inventory according to product and dye lot specifications to maintain freshness and quality.
- Fulfill orders accurately and promptly, following established processes.
- Conduct product inspections as required, promptly reporting any defects to management.
- Adhere to safety and security standards for both the warehouse and equipment.
- Perform physical counts of inventory and reconcile with data records to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Follow procedures for the safe handling and storage of goods within the warehouse.
- Assist with deliveries when scheduling allows.
- Monitor and perform basic maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment, including trucks.
- Acquire basic knowledge of products and pricing to assist customers effectively.
- Occasionally handle invoicing and customer charges.
*Schedule:*
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM / Saturday 8:00 am to 1 pm.
- Prompt attendance is expected, with exceptions communicated to supervisors in advance.
- After-hours work, including weekend deliveries or extended shifts, compensated at extra hourly rate.
*Requirements and Qualifications:*
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations.
- Excellent driving skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks, turf cutting machines, forklifts, bobcats, and similar equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory control and management practices.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying work demands.
