We are seeking a diligent and experienced Bookkeeper (Part-Time) with a solid background in the logistics industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and extensive experience in managing financial records within a logistics setting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance: Manage and maintain accurate financial records for all logistics-related transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Invoice Processing: Process invoices from vendors and customers promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies or errors.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to support decision-making processes.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track expenses related to logistics operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential areas for improvement.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of budgets for logistics projects and operations, providing insights and analysis to support budgetary decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, proficiently to maintain financial records and generate reports efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the logistics industry, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures specific to this sector.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Initiative: Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required, Spanish is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is essential for this role.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
